The short version
This site collects one thing: your email address, and only if you type it into a form. There's no tracking of you across the web, no advertising pixels, and no selling anything to anyone.
What's collected, and why
- Your email address, when you join the free-download list or apply for the early-bird waitlist. It's used to send you the download, to tell you when access opens, and to let you know about updates to plugins you have.
- Aggregate page analytics, from two sources. Cloudflare Web
Analytics is cookie-less and does not fingerprint or identify
individual visitors. Google Analytics 4 does set cookies (named
_ga) so it can tell a returning visit from a new one, and it records the pages you view, roughly where you are (country/region level) and what kind of device you used. Neither is used to identify you personally, and neither is joined to your email address or your purchases. - Purchase and download records, if you buy something: your email address, what you bought, when, whether you have downloaded it, and the date, time and IP address of each download. This is needed to give you your downloads, to honour the refund rule on the terms page (which turns on whether a download has happened), and for tax records.
Who processes it
If you buy something, your email address is added to my customer list so I can tell you when a plugin you own has an update. That is part of what you bought - updates are included for life - so those messages are me doing what you paid for, not marketing, and they carry a tag for the specific plugins you own so you only hear about yours. If I ever want to email you about something you haven't bought, that is marketing and there is an unsubscribe link in every email.
Email lists are run on Kit (kit.com), who act as the data processor. Your address is stored on their systems under their privacy policy. Google Analytics is provided by Google, who process that data under their own terms and may do so outside the UK. The site itself is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Files are served from Cloudflare R2.
Legal basis
For customers: performance of a contract. You bought a licence that includes updates, so keeping your address in order to deliver your downloads and tell you about those updates is part of supplying what you paid for.
For everything else: consent. You give it by submitting a form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
How long it's kept
Email addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, with no archive kept afterwards. Purchase and download records are kept for as long as tax law requires, because they are proof of a transaction - those cannot be deleted on request, though you can ask for a copy.
Your rights
Under UK/EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of what's held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to it being processed. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom, which is the fastest route. For anything else, email info@inotrak.com and it'll be dealt with within 30 days.
Cookies
This site sets none of its own. Kit's embedded form and any YouTube embed may
set their own - YouTube is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com,
which holds off until you press play.
Complaints
If you're in the UK and unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
