Who you're buying from

The plugins are made by inotrak. Payments are processed by Stripe as the merchant of record, which means Stripe is the seller for the transaction itself: Stripe takes the payment, handles VAT and other sales taxes, issues your receipt and deals with any payment dispute. Stripe's name, not inotrak's, may appear on your bank or card statement.

Prices on this site are shown before tax. VAT or local sales tax is added at checkout at the rate for your country, and Stripe accounts for it.

What you're getting

A licence to use the software, not ownership of it. You may install it on as many machines as you like, as long as you are the person using it - studio Mac, laptop, and whatever you work on at home are all covered. Use it for personal or commercial work, including records you sell.

There is no activation, no licence server and no dongle. That is deliberate: it means nothing stops working when a server goes down or you are offline at a session. It also means the licence runs on trust, so please do not pass it around.

What you can't do

  • Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the plugins or installers.
  • Share your download links or licence details publicly.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or repackage the software, except where that right can't be excluded by law.

Free tools

Free plugins are free as in no charge. The same restrictions above apply, and they can be withdrawn or changed at any time without affecting copies you've already installed.

Early-bird pricing

Current prices are launch prices and will rise. If you buy at an early-bird price, that is the price you paid - every future update to what you own is included at no extra cost, including versions that later sell for more. There is no subscription and no upgrade fee.

Cancellation and refunds

These are digital goods delivered as a download, so: once you have downloaded, the sale is final.

Before you download, you can still cancel. UK and EU consumers have a 14-day right to cancel digital content. You keep that right right up until the download begins. If you have bought and not yet downloaded, email info@inotrak.com and you will get a full refund.

By ticking the terms box at checkout you are asking for the download to be made available to you immediately, and acknowledging that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the download starts. That consent is what moves the cut-off from the moment you paid to the moment you downloaded. It is required under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (and the equivalent EU rules) before a trader can supply digital content inside the cancellation period.

So that it can be established which side of that line an order falls, we record when a download link is issued and when it is used, together with the email address it was issued to, the date and time, and the IP address it was used from. See the privacy page.

Because Stripe is the merchant of record, Stripe operates its own refund and dispute process and may, at its discretion, refund a payment - including where local consumer law requires it. If you have a problem with a purchase, email info@inotrak.com first and I will sort it out with you directly.

Please check the plugins suit you before buying: there are free tools to try, a full manual for every plugin, and the system requirements are on the install page. Pro Tools is not supported - these are AU and VST3 only.

None of this affects your legal rights where software is faulty or not as described.

Updates and support

Updates are included for the plugins you own, for as long as I'm maintaining them. Support is one person and best-effort, by email.

No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It's audio software: test it on a copy of a session before you rely on it for a deadline. To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for lost work, lost recordings, lost revenue or any indirect loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute goes to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this does not take away any protection you have under the law of your own country.
